Exante
exante.euExporting Transactions from Exante
Exante is a broker providing access to global markets. The application requires the FULL account history — without all transactions from account opening, acquisition costs cannot be correctly calculated using the FIFO method. Add complete years from January 1 to December 31, starting from the year the account was opened.
Log in to the Exante trading panel and select "Reports" from the side menu, then "Custom Reports"
Press "Add Personalized Report"
Set currency to "USD", format to "CSV", and report type to "Financial Transactions" — define the date range and use the "+ Add" button to add additional years
Press "Save and Order Report"
Wait a moment, refresh the page, and press the report download button when it becomes available
Add complete calendar years (January 1 – December 31) for each year since the account was opened in Exante up to the most recent available date. The generated files can be reused for future tax settlements.
Date ranges MUST NOT overlap — this will cause an import error. Make sure you select the report type "Financial Transactions" — other types will not be recognized by the import.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does transaction settlement affect my tax calculation with Exante?
For tax purposes, the settlement date (typically T+2 for stocks) determines the NBP exchange rate used for PLN conversion, per Art. 11a sec. 1. The calculator uses settlement dates from the Exante report automatically.
Are Exante commissions tax-deductible?
Yes, all broker commissions and fees charged by Exante are deductible costs. They are included in the acquisition cost (for buys) or deducted from revenue (for sells) in the PIT-38 calculation.
How are foreign dividends from Exante taxed in Poland?
Foreign dividends are reported in PIT-38 Section G. Per Art. 30a(9) + the applicable DTT, foreign WHT is credited only up to the LOWER of (a) the treaty rate and (b) the Polish 19% tax. Excess above the treaty rate must be reclaimed from the foreign tax authority, not from the Polish one.
Do I need PIT-ZG for Exante transactions?
Yes, Exante is a foreign broker, so all transactions are considered foreign income. You must file PIT-ZG as an attachment to PIT-38, with income broken down by country based on the instrument ISIN.
