Tip: For FIFO calculation, export history from the moment of first purchase of shares that you still hold or sold in the filing year.

Tax implications for different brokers
Polish brokers
Polish brokers (XTB, mBank eMakler) - transactions on WSE do not require PIT-ZG. PIT-38 is sufficient.
- XTB - PIT-38 only
- mBank eMakler - PIT-38 only
Foreign brokers
Foreign brokers require both PIT-38 and PIT-ZG. All transactions are foreign income.
- Interactive Brokers - PIT-38 + PIT-ZG
- Trading 212 - PIT-38 + PIT-ZG
- DEGIRO - PIT-38 + PIT-ZG
Common export issues
Some transactions are missing
Make sure you export the full date range (entire tax year). Some brokers have limits - in that case create multiple reports and import them all.
File is not recognized
Make sure you selected CSV format with comma separator, not semicolon. Also check the file encoding (should be UTF-8).
Missing columns
Some brokers offer different levels of export detail. Choose the full report (Trade Report), not a simplified summary.
Have a file ready to import?
Our calculator automatically recognizes most broker formats. Just import the file - the system will automatically apply FIFO method, convert currencies and generate PIT-38 summary.
