Exporting Client Activity Report from Just2Trade

Just2Trade (j2t.com) is an international broker with access to over 100 global markets, including NYSE and NASDAQ. The Client Activity Report is downloaded from the My Account portal in XLSX format. The file contains sections: buy/sell transactions (Share & Fundshare & ADR dealings), dividends with withholding tax (Payment of income), settled trades, broker fees (overnight rollover), and cash operations.

1

Log in to the Just2Trade client portal at myaccountj2t.global

2

Navigate to the "Reports" section in the menu

3

Select "Client Activity Report" (Report by Client Accounts)

4

Set the date range covering the full tax year (e.g., 01.01.2025 – 31.12.2025)

5

Download the report in XLSX format

6

Import the downloaded XLSX file into the application — the format will be recognized automatically

A full date range is essential for correct FIFO tax calculation. The calculator needs all transactions to correctly match sales to purchases. The XLSX report contains several sections — the calculator automatically extracts trades, dividends and broker fees, ignoring informational sections (Cash transactions, Settled trades, Portfolio revaluation, Open Positions).

Only XLSX files from the Client Activity Report are supported. If your report was generated from the MT5 platform, it must be in the "Report by Client Accounts" format, not the standard MT5 statement.

Dividends and Withholding Tax (WHT)

Dividends are part of the same XLSX report, in the "Payment of income on securities and corporate action compensation" section. Each entry contains the gross amount, WHT rate (Tax Rate, typically 30% for US stocks), and withheld tax amount (Tax Amount).

Dividends are imported automatically along with transactions from the same XLSX file — no separate report download is needed

Tax implications

All Just2Trade instruments are foreign securities — the PIT/ZG attachment to the PIT-38 return is required.

US dividends are subject to 30% WHT (15% with W-8BEN). Per Art. 11(2) PL-US treaty, only 15% is creditable in PIT-38 Section G (fields G.47-G.49); the 4pp gap against Polish 19% is paid here. Excess above 15% (when broker withheld 30%) must be reclaimed from the IRS via Form 1040-NR.

The NBP exchange rate from the business day preceding the settlement date is used for conversion, per Art. 11a sec. 1.

Broker commission fees and SEC/TAF regulatory fees (Other fees) are summed and included in deductible costs (C.23).

Overnight rollover fees are classified as margin costs and included in deductible costs (C.23).

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to file Polish taxes for Just2Trade transactions?

Yes. Just2Trade is a foreign broker with access to US and global markets. All income is foreign-sourced and must be reported on PIT-38. You are responsible for calculating and filing your taxes — Just2Trade does not issue Polish PIT-8C.

Do I need PIT-ZG for Just2Trade transactions?

Yes, since Just2Trade instruments are traded on foreign exchanges (primarily US), you must attach PIT-ZG to your PIT-38 return with a country-by-country income breakdown.

What are overnight rollover fees?

Just2Trade charges overnight rollover fees for holding positions. These appear in the "Broker fees" section and are classified as margin costs (MARGIN_COST) deductible in PIT-38 line C.23.

Why is my US dividend withholding tax 30% instead of 15%?

The standard US withholding tax rate is 30%. With a valid W-8BEN form at Just2Trade the rate drops to 15%. Per the PL-US treaty, only 15% is creditable in Section G of PIT-38 — you pay the 4pp difference in Poland. If broker withheld 30% without W-8BEN, the extra 15pp is reclaimable from the IRS (Form 1040-NR).

Common Issues and Solutions

Report does not contain dividends

Check that your date range covers dividend payment dates. Dividends are in the "Payment of income on securities" section of the Client Activity Report.

Concerns about duplicate transactions

The report contains a "Trades settled for the period" section with the same transactions in settlement format. The calculator automatically ignores this section — it does not cause double counting.

Portfolio revaluation entries appear in the report

Portfolio revaluation entries reflect unrealized gains/losses and are not taxable events. The calculator automatically ignores them.
