Orbex (Orbex Global Limited)
www.orbex.comAutomated import from Orbex (Orbex Global Limited) is not yet available — but you can help us launch it! Export your data following the instructions below and send us the file. We'll use it to add Orbex (Orbex Global Limited) support to the calculator.
Exporting Transactions from Orbex (MT4 / MT5)
Orbex Global Limited is a forex/CFD broker regulated by the Mauritius FSC (previously CySEC / Cyprus until Orbex exited the EU market in 2025). Offers MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. We support both formats: the MT5 "Trade History Report" in XLSX (recommended) and the MT4 "Statement" / "Detailed Statement" in HTML (the only MT4 export format).
Log in to the Orbex Client Portal at orbex.com
Open the MetaTrader 5 (or MT4) terminal — desktop app or WebTrader
MT5: in the Toolbox tab select "History" → right-click → "Report" → save as XLSX (file is named ReportHistory-<account>.xlsx)
MT4: Account History tab → right-click → "Save as Detailed Report" → choose the period and save as .htm
Upload the XLSX (MT5) or HTM (MT4) file — broker detection is automatic
You can import both MT4 and MT5 accounts in the same session — they are split by brokerAccountId and currency. Every Orbex instrument (forex, metals, indices, energy, crypto-CFD like BTCUSD.) is a CFD and is reported under PIT-38 section C (art. 30b).
Orbex symbols end in a literal dot (e.g. `xauusd.`, `EURUSD.`) — this is a standard MetaTrader convention, not corrupt data. Some rarer instruments (e.g. UT100) don't yet have a confirmed contract size and will be skipped with a diagnostic; email us the symbol and we'll add coverage.
Common Issues and Solutions
Warning: "Unknown contract size for Orbex symbol"
Relates to less common instruments (e.g. UT100). Rows are skipped with a diagnostic. Contact support with the full symbol name (including the trailing dot) and we'll add recognition.
I have both MT4 and MT5 — how do I import both?
Drop all files at once. The system identifies separate accounts by brokerAccountId and currency. If you have both XLSX and HTML for the same MT5 account, duplicates are automatically collapsed by positionId.
A ReportHistory-*.xlsx file was detected as Admiral Markets
This is fixed — detection is now content-based, not filename-based. If you still see this, make sure the file contains the strings "Orbex Global Ltd" or "OrbexGlobal-Server" in the header rows.
