Saxo Bank
www.home.saxoAutomated import from Saxo Bank is not yet available — but you can help us launch it! Export your data following the instructions below and send us the file. We'll use it to add Saxo Bank support to the calculator.
Exporting Transactions from Saxo Bank
Saxo Bank exports transaction reports in Excel (XLSX) format from the saxotrader.com platform. For PIT-38 settlement, you need the "Closed Positions" report.
Log in to SaxoTraderGO at home.saxo
In the main menu, go to "Account" > "Historical Reports"
Select type: "Closed Positions"
Set "Period" to the tax year and press "Download" (.xlsx format)
The file will have a name in the format ClosedPositions_[account number]_[date from]_[date to].xlsx. Our calculator will automatically recognize the Saxo Bank format. Note: Saxo Bank exports reports in Excel (.xlsx) format, not CSV.
Exporting Dividends from Saxo Bank
Dividends from Saxo Bank are available in a separate "Share Dividends" report on the saxotrader.com platform.
On the Historical Reports page, in the "Report" field select "Share Dividends"
In the "Period" field, set the date range to the tax year
Click "Download" - download the Excel (.xlsx) file
Import both files (ClosedPositions + ShareDividends) into our calculator
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I file Polish taxes for Saxo Bank transactions?
Saxo Bank is a foreign broker (Denmark), so you must report all capital gains and dividends on PIT-38 yourself, with a PIT-ZG attachment for foreign income. Import both the Closed Positions and Share Dividends XLSX reports.
Why are ISINs missing from the Saxo Bank Closed Positions report?
Saxo Bank Closed Positions reports do not include ISIN codes. The calculator determines the country of origin from the exchange suffix (e.g., xnys for NYSE = US). This is handled automatically.
How are Saxo Bank dividends taxed in Poland?
Foreign dividends are reported in PIT-38 Section G at 19%. Withholding tax from the Share Dividends report is credited against the Polish tax. Import the Share Dividends XLSX file alongside the Closed Positions file.
Why does Saxo Bank use XLSX instead of CSV?
Saxo Bank exports reports exclusively in Excel (XLSX) format with Polish sheet names ("Zamkniete pozycje", "Dywidendy z akcji"). Our calculator fully supports this format — just import the original downloaded file without modifications.
Common Issues and Solutions
The report does not contain all instruments
Make sure you selected all accounts (if you have multiple sub-accounts). Reports may be generated separately for each sub-account.
The system does not recognize the Saxo Bank file
Make sure you import the original .xlsx file downloaded from saxotrader.com. Do not open and re-save it in Excel - this may change the data format.
