Exporting Transactions from Tastytrade

Tastytrade allows exporting transaction history from the web panel. The report includes stocks, options, and other instruments — the calculator focuses on stocks and basic types. Export instructions are available in the official Tastytrade broker documentation.

1

Log in to your Tastytrade account (tastytrade.com)

2

In the main menu, select "History"

3

Go to the "Trade History" or "Account History" tab

4

Set the date range (entire tax year)

5

Click "Export" / "Download" and download the CSV file

Export the full history if you are settling with the FIFO method and sold shares purchased earlier. For just the tax year, a range of Jan 1 - Dec 31 is sufficient.

The report may contain options and futures. The calculator primarily supports stocks and ETFs. Options or futures transactions may not be included or may require manual adjustment. Automatic stock split support is under development for Tastytrade.

Common Issues and Solutions

The report contains options and futures

The calculator supports basic stock and ETF transactions. Options and futures are often not mapped automatically - if needed, filter them in a spreadsheet or consult a tax advisor.
