Trading 212 includes all operation types in a single CSV file — transactions, dividends, interest, and fees. There is no need to generate separate reports.

Exporting Dividends from Trading 212

Dividends are included in the same file as transactions — there is no need to generate a separate report.

1

Perform the standard transaction history export (instructions above)

2

Dividends are marked with the "Dividend" value in the Action column

3

The application will automatically recognize and separate dividends from the imported file

Tax Settlement with Trading 212

Trading 212 is a foreign broker (United Kingdom), so income from it requires filing the PIT-ZG appendix to PIT-38. The application automatically identifies foreign transactions and prepares the required summaries.

Dividends from foreign companies are subject to withholding tax (WHT). In Poland, you pay the difference between the tax withheld abroad and the 19% rate.

Transactions in GBP, USD, and EUR are automatically converted to PLN at the average NBP exchange rate from the day before the settlement date.

The FIFO method is mandatory for stocks and ETFs. Export the full transaction history, including previous years, so that acquisition costs are correctly calculated.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I settle tax on Trading 212 gains?

Download a CSV report from your transaction history and import it into the application. The calculator will automatically convert transactions to PLN, apply the FIFO method, and calculate the 19% tax.

Does Trading 212 issue a PIT-8C?

No — Trading 212 is a foreign broker and does not issue a Polish PIT-8C. You settle the tax yourself on PIT-38 with the PIT-ZG appendix based on the CSV export.

How do I calculate capital gains tax on Trading 212 transactions?

Import the CSV file into the application — the calculator will automatically apply the FIFO method, fetch NBP exchange rates, and calculate the 19% tax due. Simply transfer the results to the PIT-38 declaration.
